The JCB 3CX is the sensible everyday backhoe — lighter, cheaper, faster on the road, and still fully capable on most civils sites. The JCB 4CX is a specialist tool: heavier, more expensive, but genuinely better on tight, difficult sites where its 4WS earns its keep every day.
